Prince or Persia

Yes, I am talking about the first game with this name. It ran under DOS. When I got my first PC, it had only DOS on it and a Norton Commander, but it had this game.

We loved this game. We played so much on it, we even went to certain lengths to get the cheats to play some levels again.

I loved the concept. You are a prince kept in the lowest dungeons of a castle and you have to make your way upwards to the throne room to save a princess. You even meet a bad version of yourself on the road. Man, how much time I needed to figure out how to deal with my bad mirror image. I loved how the maps change when you get towards the throne room. They get more colorful, bigger and full of light compared to the dark blue-black dungeon of the first map.

The game itself was really simple, you had to jump around a lot, avoid obstacles, push switches to open doors, fight bad guys, etc. What bothered me a lot is that I could not save the game.

My rating for this game is 9 out of 10.
